I’ve mentioned before how the Rogue Valley previously was a regular stop for bands traveling between Seattle or Portland and San Francisco. Now bands frequently take an off day between those dates, or they make the entire 10+ hour trek and play those cities on back-to-back days. This August 25 Anthrax is going old school and making the stop. Better than playing at the Medford Armory, they will be at the Ashland Armory! Tickets are on sale here. I’m guessing that you can buy tickets at the usual places (Music Coop in Ashland or Musichead in Medford–call first to make sure they are selling them) to avoid the online service charge.
Zepparella at Howiee’s on Front Street (Medford, Oregon) setlist 5/10/18
Actual setlist was a bit different (at the end) than the one above. Clementine broke her snare after The Ocean so they took a break to fix it. When they came back they played Kashmir, When the Levee Breaks, and Whole Lotta Love.
You can find dozens of Clark’s Grebes in Upper Klamath Lake this time of year. However, most of the mating rituals happen soon after they arrive in late April so it’s a little late to see much activity. Putnam’s Point is a good place to park and watch.
Here is a pretty cool video (especially after the 50 second mark).
