Tonight the Grizzlies will play their second-to-last regular season home game in Ashland. With an undefeated record, they may have already played their toughest opponent (before the Oregon State Playoffs next month) in the game where I took today’s photo. Today’s pic comes from their win over Springfield a couple weeks ago.
There are so many sporting events happening today that it will be impossible for me to see them all.
SOU has the following full schedule (all in Ashland):
9:00 SOU Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
10:00 Women’s Soccer vs. Corban
1:00 Football vs. Montana Tech
7:00 Volleyball vs. Northwest
Ashland High School is hosting an all-day volleyball tournament.
And outside of Ashland, where I’d really like to be but will have to settle for watching on TV, the A’s are going to beat the Tigers in game 2 of the American League Division Series in Oakland.

The JV team plays South Medford High School at 5:45 tonight, and the varsity match will follow after (probably beginning about 7 p.m.).

Tonight the Grizzlies take on Crater High School in Ashland. Game time is 7 p.m.
Today’s photos are from last week’s game at North Medford High School.
The AHS Volleyball Team travels to Roseburg today for an all-day tournament. Hopefully, they will be doing much celebrating during the day like they did earlier this week vs. Eagle Point.
Tonight in Ashland the high school volleyball teams have their first 5A conference matches against Eagle Point High School. The JV1 and JV2 teams play at 5:45, and the varsity matches begin when they are finished sometime after 7 p.m. Today’s photo is from last week’s non-conference game against Hidden Valley High School.
Let’s wrap up Ashland’s July 4 festivities’ week with the high school football team. All of this week’s photos are from July 4, 2012 as I’m in Korea this summer.

I was hoping to watch some baseball today at North Mountain Park. Ashland earned a number 1 seed which meant home games through the semifinals of the state tournament (should they win their games). Alas, Wednesday’s game did not go as planned, and the Grizzlies were upset by number 8 seed Madison. Rain fell through most of the game, and things did not go Ashland’s way in the 4-1 loss. The tournament is single elimination so the season is now over for the AHS Grizzlies.
