@100WATTMIND Following Buckle Rash Friday night was the always amazing and entertaining 100 Watt Mind.
@BuckleRash First up last night was Buckle Rash. I had met these guys before for a 5-minute photo shoot for the Jefferson State Vines cover, but I had never seen them play live. I’m not normally one to seek out live experiences with bands who include words like “country” or “punk” in their description. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. They are fantastic.
This was also my first show at the Imperial Event Center in Medford. The IEC is beautiful–great sound, raised stage, best lighting in Medford, lots of nice seating, hardwood dance floor, and inexpensive drinks. The only drawback is you can’t see the band if you are in the bar. Maybe that’s a good thing if you are skipping one of the bands. 😉
Today’s photo falls in the better-late-than-never category. Although it has been more than five months since the wonderful evening (with The Body, Tragedy, and Neurosis) featured in today’s photo, Atriarch remain one of my favorite bands. More photos of them coming soon…

Shoestring Trio kicked off their West Coast Tour in Ashland last night. They have a really nice sound so if you live somewhere between Portland, Oregon and Hollywood, California check them out over the next couple weeks as they are coming to a venue near you.
@matthewkheafy Another photo today from the Trivium/Volbeat gig earlier this month.
