In the better late than never category, today’s photos are from about four months ago at Club 66. This was an all ages show featuring Gravewitch, Repellent, and Dogma. Amazingly enough, PajamaXviolence was not the first band I saw perform in their PJs. EHMD sported a onesie first back in January.

Speaking of all ages shows, there is one this next Wednesday (1/7/15) at Club 66. Bädr Vogu, Urinator, and Hermits will be hitting the stage at 5 p.m. and finishing before 8 p.m.

Speaking of Gravewitch, they are returning to Southern Oregon on Monday, January 26 at 6:00 p.m. at an all ages show at Musichead in Medford.

Some of you may have found your way here through the link on souraiders.com. I have had several people email me asking questions about buying prints or about finding all of my photos for a certain sport.

The photos I post here are a small fraction of the photos I actually have. If you would like to print any of the photos on this blog, you are welcome to do so at no charge. Be sure to click on the photo to get to the higher resolution size which will print with more quality. If you want to use them on the web (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.), you are welcome to do so if you link back to traveljapanblog.com/ashland with the photo or link to the photo.

If you would like me to search through all of my photos and send you photos of the particular athlete you are looking for I charge a reasonable fee for the time it takes me to find all of those photos and to process them for you. I do not normally sell prints. I email you the high quality electronic files in .jpg format, and you can do the printing and framing yourself through a local or online service. You can also make photo books or do whatever you like with the pictures. My email is on this page.

SOU football – Joseph Lealofi

The Raiders won their 9th game of the season, tying their previous record of most wins. They still have a regular-season game to go (and hopefully four post-season games after that). Lealofi picked up a fumble and ran with it for a touchdown in today’s victory.

Ashland Halloween Parade

Today’s photo is from last year’s Halloween parade. It was sunny and warm for once. Not so this year. The forecast this afternoon is for rain and a high in the low 50s. I will have to take a rain check on this year’s parade anyway due to an appointment at the same time.

SOU football – Dylan Young

This weekend the Southern Oregon University football team will be on the road again, taking on the College of Idaho Yotes. Carroll is the only team in the Frontier Conference getting much respect from the coaches doing the NAIA national rankings. The coaches seem to look more at records and the teams’ performances in prior years than strength of schedule in the current year, who a team beat, or where games take place.

College of Idaho doesn’t garner any votes from the coaches, but more accurate and objective rankings like Hensley Ratings say otherwise. There, the Yotes are ranked #15. In addition, College of Idaho is undefeated at home. Still, Hensley Ratings predicts the Raiders will be victorious by a touchdown.

This year’s Southern Oregon Pride Parade will be on Saturday, October 11, beginning at 11 a.m. from Safeway to the Ashland Plaza.

Tomorrow night (10/9/14) there will also be an event at Club 66.

Ashland sunrise before the storm

About 10 days ago we had a rare day full of rain in Ashland. Before the rain began, the sunrise was rather spectacular. I was a minute or so late on this photo to catch the wave that formed in the sky, but you can sort of see a less impressive version of it here.

Hazzard’s Cure @ Base Kamp Awesome

Blister Unit (from Arizona), Burney Chair, and Urinator will be performing at the final Base Kamp Awesome show of the year Tuesday (10/7/14). BKA will close for winter after this last show of 2014. For directions and more details, click here.
