One of the more popular entries on this blog has been this one of a female bagpipe player in the 2009 Ashland Fourth of July Parade. Thousands of people have viewed her in the past five years.
Today’s photo is from the 2014 parade.
We are off to the Big Island today for eight nights in paradise. I’m not going to leave loyal watchers of this blog with nothing for that duration though. Instead, I’ll post something each day from the 4th of July Parade earlier this month in Ashland. If you want to see some pics from Hawaii, check out my other blog.
Today’s photo is of the “fly over” at the start of the parade. They actually did a fly over and then a fly back over this year. I haven’t seen that before, but I’ve missed more than half of the parades in recent years.

In one month I will be in Guanajuato. I won’t be there for very long, just 10 nights or so. If you want to follow along with those adventures, I’ll be posting photos here.
Today’s photo is from last week’s parade.
As previously mentioned, yesterday was the annual Southern Oregon Pride Parade.
More pics will be coming here soon.
The Southern Oregon Pride Festival begins this week on the 11th and runs through the 13th. The parade down Main Street to Lithia Park will be on Saturday (10/12/13) beginning at 11 a.m. There is also a drag show on the same night at Taroko beginning at 9 p.m. so you may see the little lady in today’s photo there. For a full schedule of events see SOPride.org.
