@cahoneydrops
The last time the California Honeydrops played in Ashland was at Alex’s (RIP) in front of about 20-30 people. How’s that for band growth when you visit a town for the second time and attendance is up by a factor of more than 20?
I didn’t bring my camera to this one so just a crappy cell phone pic to catch the vibe from a few nights ago…
@brittfestivals
Just over a week ago I saw DSO for at least the fourth time in my life. All of the previous occasions were at the Ashland Armory. The weather was brutal, pushing 100 degrees in full sun at 6:30 and 89 degrees when they squeezed the last song in under the 10:30 curfew.
I didn’t have my camera with me so I tried out my new cell phone. The Pixel 6 Pro is supposed to have a great camera, but I’m not impressed with the results.
They duplicated the Grateful Dead setlist from December 15, 1986 that took place at the Oakland Coliseum. Ironically, even though I wasn’t at that show, I was a mere 7 miles away at home in San Leandro. I did see Saxon in Oakland four nights later. Saxon was more my speed at the time.
