As mentioned yesterday, Massey went a perfect 4-0 in forecasting the quarterfinal results. I don’t understand how or why, but Massey is predicting a rematch of last year’s national championship game (even though Massey has Marian ranked lower and St. Francis is at home). Note that St. Francis already beat Marian (on the road no less) earlier this season.

Some of you may have found your way here through the link on souraiders.com. I have had several people email me asking questions about buying prints or about finding all of my photos for a certain sport.
The photos I post here are a small fraction of the photos I actually have. If you would like to print any of the photos on this blog, you are welcome to do so at no charge. Be sure to click on the photo to get to the higher resolution size which will print with more quality. If you want to use them on the web (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), you are welcome to do so if you link back to traveljapanblog.com/ashland in the description of the photo. If you are using the photo in a newspaper or magazine, credit “Al Case, Ashland Daily Photo”.
If you would like me to search through all of my photos and send you photos of the particular athlete you are looking for I charge a reasonable fee for the time it takes me to find all of those photos and to process them for you. I do not normally sell prints. I email you the high quality electronic files in .jpg format, and you can do the printing and framing yourself through a local or online service. My email is on this page or you can comment (leave a reply) to a blog entry to communicate.

Apparently, I’m less biased than the coaches, but not as unbiased (or prophetic) as Massey Ratings.
Massey said this, and that is exactly what happened.
BTW, Massey said SOU would beat KWU 52-17. SOU won 52-8. Massey said SOU would beat Baker by 3. SOU won by 5. Next time I’ll listen to Massey.
What will Massey say for next Saturday’s games? We won’t know until probably Monday, but since Massey says Baker is the best playoff team at home in the NAIA, and Massey says Baker is better than Morningside, I’m guessing Massey will make SOU a 3 or 4 point favorite over #1 (according to the coaches) Morningside.
Marian will be an underdog at undefeated St. Francis so a rematch of last year’s championship game in Daytona is not extremely likely.

The Raiders are headed to Iowa for next week’s semifinal game against #1 Morningside. I’ve never been to Iowa. I hear it’s warm and beautiful there in December. I’ll let you know in a week.

Massey agrees with all of my picks except for Montana Tech. I think Montana Tech’s more rigorous schedule thus far will lead them to an upset victory. Note that the rankings (“standing”) are Massey’s, not the coaches. With a more objective rating system, many of the locations of Saturday’s games would change.
