Seven weeks from today I will be standing in front of Red Fang at the 2017 Roskilde Festival. Oddly, even though Red Fang is from Portland, Oregon, and I have lived in Oregon for 17 years, on the other side of the world will be my first time seeing them.

Today is the day. Black Sabbath is calling it quits. After 48 years and thousands of shows, tonight, in Birmingham, England–where it all began–is where it will all end. I was fortunate to have seen Ozzy solo twice (once in the 80s and once in the 90s), Dio solo in the 1980s, and Black Sabbath three times (90s, 00s, and on The End Tour last summer in Denmark).
