When Karlee Coughlin came up to bat with two outs and runners on second and third in the final inning of the 0-0 game one of today’s doubleheader against #7-ranked Corban University I heard someone say, “they are crazy if they pitch to her.” After a 2-0 count we all agreed that they weren’t pitching to her. As it turns out, they were (since Tayler Walker was just as much of a threat batting behind her). They threw Karlee strikes later in the count, and she delivered–one of two walk off wins for the Raiders (three walk-off wins in the series). More details here.

On our way back from Crater Lake a couple weeks ago we stopped at the Rogue River Gorge Viewpoint where I took this photo. The parking lot is covered in snow this time of year so if you want to see the gorge you’ll want a good pair of shoes on so you can walk through a bit of snow to get to the paved trail. Park near Beckie’s Cafe.
