Stoneburner will be playing Club 66 in Ashland on May 30, 2013.

I have never seen a crowd at Johnny B’s anywhere near as large as last night’s Stoneburner gig. Hopefully, they play Club 66 next time so that more people can actually see them.
They played a couple of new tunes to kick things off and the new songs are incredible. I’m really looking forward to their next release.
Tomorrow night I don’t know what to do. Three bands I want to see are playing at three different venues. Witch Cult will be at Northwest Pizza, and Stoneburner will be at Johnny B’s in Medford.
If only bands started on a schedule in this part of the world like they do in most other places, I could probably figure out a way to see at least two of them.
I’ll probably end up going to see Stoneburner since I can see Witch Cult and Fire in the Nortwest next week in Ashland.
Northwest Pizza and Pasta Company has transformed itself under new ownership over the past year and a half. They now have an open mic night. After hours they have started having live acts as well.
I headed to Northwest last night to hear Twice Born Gypsies, a band I’d never heard of before, but the “psychedelic space rock” description sounded good. “Fuck! A Monster” was listed as the opening act on the ad I saw, but given that members are also in FatherDoug (who was playing in Medford at the same time), I figured that wouldn’t happen. Arlo Brooks, who is in Fuck! A Monster but not FatherDoug, opened. His set was a trip, and everything he used to make the sounds he created fit in his backpack.
Witch Cult opened for Sarcalogos last week at Club 66. If you were there, no doubt you will be there on March 20 when they will open for Witchaven and Exmortus. If you weren’t there, you will have another chance.
Earlier moe. photos from the Ashland Armory can be found here.
moe. played in Ashland last night for the first time. It was my first time seeing them, but I met a guy in the audience from New York who was at his 61st moe. concert!
Last night saw the return of metal to Ashland after about a four year break. Sarcalogos kicked off their West Coast tour at Club 66. Tonight they play in Eureka, California. The rest of the short tour is as follows:
Friday, March 1 in Oakland @ The Pink String
Saturday, March 2 in Fresno @ CYC
Sunday, March 3 in Las Vegas @ Favorites
and Tuesday, March 5 in San Francisco @ Casa Sanchez
If you are anywhere near one of these places, head on over to the venue for an evening you won’t soon forget.
