Brandi Carlile @ Britt

Britt announced their 2013 lineup last night. Included in the mix is Brandi Carlile (just after I return from my summer in Asia). The date is August 21, 2013. I will almost certainly be there. Tickets go on sale for members next week and for the general public in May.

Other shows I may go to Britt for this summer include Chris Isaak, Tegan & Sara, The Doobie Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Jake Shimabukuro.

Rob Maramonte of the band Fallujah (March 22, 2013)

I went to Medford to see Witch Cult and Fallujah a couple weeks ago. It was the first (and last) time I have been to The Wreckroom. The sound was OK for Witch Cult, but it was awful for Fallujah so they only played a few songs. The lighting was also abysmal. It was like a concert in a small, dark closet. Hopefully, Fallujah will play somewhere else, like Musichead or Club 66, next time through.

In the photo above, Conan and David Rivera flipped their guitars on to their backs and proceeded to play the other guy’s guitar.

Below is their performance of “Kneel Before the Steel” from their 2011 album “Beyond The Fall Of Time”.

Stoneburner will be playing Club 66 in Ashland on May 30, 2013.

Today’s pics are from their show on March 16 at Johnny B’s.

I have never seen a crowd at Johnny B’s anywhere near as large as last night’s Stoneburner gig. Hopefully, they play Club 66 next time so that more people can actually see them.

They played a couple of new tunes to kick things off and the new songs are incredible. I’m really looking forward to their next release.

Noah Smith of “Fire in the Northwest” @ Club 66

Tomorrow night I don’t know what to do. Three bands I want to see are playing at three different venues. Witch Cult will be at Northwest Pizza, and Stoneburner will be at Johnny B’s in Medford.

If only bands started on a schedule in this part of the world like they do in most other places, I could probably figure out a way to see at least two of them.

I’ll probably end up going to see Stoneburner since I can see Witch Cult and Fire in the Nortwest next week in Ashland.
