Kelsey Randall was named the Cascade Conference Player of the Week for going 17-for-33 with five extra-base hits and seven steals in her first week on the team.

Ashley Claussen picked up an Honorable Mention in basketball even though the Raiders played only one game. Going 5-for-6 from 3-point range in addition to leading the team with six assists can make that happen.

SOU football – Tevin Lake taken down by Dustin Fretwell after Alex Stork bounced him to the outside

Tevin Lake is #5 all time on the NAIA Career Rushing Yards Leaderboard. He passed #6 Dusty McGrorty of SOU in 2014. McGrorty gained his 5,414 yards on almost 200 fewer carries though. Lake was a finalist for the 2014 NAIA Player of the Year Award, an award won by Austin Dodge.

SOU softball – Kelsey Randall

League play doesn’t begin for another month, but the Southern Oregon University softball team has had their way with their opponents thus far. They will play eight games this weekend in California.

Freshman Kelsey Randall, a two-sport star for the Raiders, is leading the team in most offensive categories including average (.583), runs (12), and slugging percentage (.958). She turned a nifty double play from her shortstop position in yesterday’s victory.

Some of you may have found your way here through the link on souraiders.com. I have had several people email me asking questions about buying prints or about finding all of my photos for a certain sport.

The photos I post here are a small fraction of the photos I actually have. If you would like to print any of the photos on this blog, you are welcome to do so at no charge. Be sure to click on the photo to get to the higher resolution size which will print with more quality. If you would like me to search through all of my photos and send you photos of the particular athlete you are looking for I charge a reasonable fee for the time it takes me to find all of those photos and to process them for you. I do not normally sell prints. I email you the high quality electronic files in .jpg format, and you can do the printing and framing yourself through a local or online service. SOU women’s basketball – #10 Taylor Nuttall

The 21-3 Lady Raiders cracked the Top 10 in the national rankings today for the first time (this late in the season) in more than 15 years. As they don’t have any players in the #2-9 uniform category, the only place they have to go from here is to #1.

mOcean volleyball

Today is the 17U mOcean Volleyball Club’s second tournament in Grants Pass (North Valley High School). At the last tournament, in Santa Clara, there weren’t any familiar foes, but most of today’s games will pit girls against former and future teammates as there is representation from about six or seven different high schools on this mOcean team.
