Today’s photo comes from a hike on a trail called Amanda’s Trail near Yachats, Oregon in November of 2016.
One of the five hikes (maps here) we ventured on this past weekend, near Yachats, ended at this tree, nearly 200 feet tall and 600 years old. The hike was awesome, by the way; the trail is lovely, and it’s an easy 2-mile hike out and back.
Another photo today from our walk on the Oregon Coast yesterday. You can see rain happening in the Pacific Ocean in this photo which was far more pleasant than the rain falling on us a bit earlier. The good thing about the rain was it cleared out most of the tourists.
If you are trying to find this spot, Google “Cape Perpetua Special Interest Area”.
We are away from Ashland this weekend. Today we walked from Devil’s Churn to Spouting Horn, one of my favorite trails on the planet.
First of all, apologies to those of you who check in daily for a photo. Obviously, the blog has not been living up to its name over the past few weeks. I’ve been traveling, and hopefully I’ll have more regular entries going forward.
Today’s photo is from Thanksgiving a couple years ago.
