Sólheimajökull

This place, at the bottom of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier or ice cap, is fascinating. This lake, with a few ice cubes in it, didn’t exist a decade ago. If climate change (global warming) continues at its current pace, the glaciers on Iceland will be gone in a century.
