Today’s sequence comes from this past Saturday, when I was on the sidelines for the Beavers vs. Bears game in Reser Stadium on the campus of Oregon State University. Vic Wharton III caught this pass for a near touchdown. Cal won by a score of 49-7.

NLCS begins today

My random, desktop image of the day reminded me that the 2018 MLB playoffs resume today. I have no horses in the race anymore so I don’t really care what happens. I haven’t seen a professional baseball game in several years now, perhaps the longest stretch of my life.

Anyway, today’s photo comes from 2012, the year Jesse Chavez started the season in Toronto and ended up in Oakland. Since pitching for my A’s from 2012 until 2015, Jesse has pitched for five different teams.
