A few nights back we stumbled upon a full moon over Nyhavn. Last night was this sunset.
The typical shot of Nyhavn has been done a billion times. And why not? It’s a pretty one. But I’ve done that photo several times over so I went for something a little different here with this 6-photo photomerge. The tourists were numerous on this day so I had to a wait a while to get a foreground that was this free of walking people.
Today my new Nikon D750 will arrive. Today’s photo was taken shortly after I purchased my first DSLR back in 2011. The faults with this photo were not the camera’s. They were because of my own ignorance. I didn’t understand aperture, shutter speed, or ISO. This photo would have looked much better if I had shot it in RAW at f/8 with a low ISO. So now I need to go back to Copenhagen with my new knowledge and new camera. Maybe next summer?
