Uli Jon Roth @ 2016 Metal Magic Festival

…I boarded a train for the other side of Denmark, to a place I’d never been before, to see/hear this man. “Taken By Force” was (and still is) one of my favorite albums of all time. That day/night was transformative for me. Not just because I finally got to see Uli live, but because I was introduced to the wonders of the Metal Magic Festival. I’ve been back five times since, and would go every year, regardless of who is on the bill, were it not for the distance.

Thank you Uli and Metal Magic for all of the memories.
