Let the MLB playoffs begin!

With Oakland‘s come-from-behind victory today their odds of making the playoffs increase to 92%. Donaldson, with his 9th inning game-tying homer, and Moss, with his 10th inning game-winning homer will get all of the glory, but let’s not forget the A’s bullpen which gave up just 2 hits and no runs over nearly 6 innings. Today I tip my cap to Ryan Cook, pictured above, one of many no-name rookies or cast offs who make up this amazing team.
Death Angel is coming back to Ace of Spades in Sacramento on Friday, October 26. They will be headlining this time and playing their first album, from 1987, in its entirety. My odds of going are slim to none, but my odds are slightly better for the gig in Santa Rosa on the prior Saturday night (10/20).
The weekend I visited Aarhus, Denmark (July 2011) was not a great one for the weather. However, even though I experienced some cloudy skies and rain in Aarhus, back “home” in Copenhagen things got really nasty and the city experienced its worst flood in history. I’ll post some photos from the aftermath of Copenhagen’s flood one of these days. Today’s photo features the longest and tallest church in Denmark. Building began over 800 years ago and the Aarhus Cathedral was completed about 700 years ago. Aarhus Canal is in the foreground.
