Did you know that Grizzly Peak (elevation of 5,922 feet) once had a conical and relatable size to nearby volcano Mount McLoughlin (9,493 feet)?

Grizzly Peak is a bit northeast of Ashland so it isn’t the direction one would normally look to for a decent sunset. Sunrise, maybe, but on this day the sunset seemed to go all around the horizon.
