Last night I went to my first metal show in Southern Oregon in at least four years. One of the main reasons I don’t go to many metal shows in Southern Oregon anymore (other than the fact that Club 66 in Ashland closed so now it’s always a long drive to get home) is the late starts and finishes. Grants Pass is more than 45 minutes from my house, and with the last band not going on until almost midnight… I’d go to many more shows if they finished by 11 on weekends and 10 on weeknights.
Elk Witch was the surprise of the evening. I hope they continue to make new music and play live. Elk Witch has a new album out which you can listen to here.

Emissary
Emissary was the headliner, and it was an album release show for them (album video below).
Unfortunately, I have no photos of Andrew throwing a javelin, which is the event for which he earned his All-American status. He is only a sophomore so next year.
KiAshe Hobby
KiAshe achieved All-American status in the hammer.
Abi Stevens
Abi is an All-American in the Heptathlon. Her best event is the high jump, which she will compete in tomorrow for a chance to become a two-time All-American as a freshman.
