In late May I flew down to Oakland in a friend’s private plane. Soon after takeoff from the Ashland Municipal Airport this was the view out the window.

Rob Tomasello – SOU football

Last year I was part of the Southern Oregon University entry in the parade. No one could have imagined at the time that SOU’s football team would end up #5 in the rankings by the end of the season.

I’m in Korea for 4th of July celebrations (or lack thereof) this year. (At least I hope I am. I’m actually pre-blogging this week on Memorial Day back in late May.)
