In the past 15+ years I’ve seen Floater and Zepparella a great many times–well over 20 times combined. However, I haven’t been to a Floater or Zepparella concert since 2019. I was planning on going to Eugene on this evening anyway–to see The Australian Pink Floyd Show at the Hult Center. But when a Floater, Zepparella, and Hillstomp show emerged on the same evening, I changed those plans.

The evening was beautiful. Temps were in the 80s (but shady) at the start and ended in the 70s. The sunset was lovely, and the music was fantastic.

NAIA Softball Rankings (Massey Ratings)

Last year, the Raiders didn’t get the most favorable draw for the opening round. They ended up with Massey’s #18 and #21 teams coming to the Rogue Valley. #18 Grand View moved on to the World Series.

This year, SOU received a far more winnable opening round–on paper anyway. Massey has Southeastern at #24, Reinhardt at #29, and Vanguard at #50.

Maple leaves in fall on the Upper Rogue River

Today’s photo was taken on October 17, 2021 so, assuming things are similar this year, now is a great time to go hike the Upper Rogue River Trail section of the Rogue River (park at Woodruff Bridge and head south) for fall colors.
