View from Toothpick Trail (Ashland, Oregon – March 16, 2021)

I think, before two days ago, that I had only walked Toothpick once (maybe 15 or 18 years ago). I’ve ridden it at least a hundred times. Anyway, a couple days ago most of the trail was covered in an inch or two of icy snow so riding wouldn’t have been a very smart option.

Riley Donovan

Riley Donovan was named the Cascade Conference Softball Player of the Week. In SOU’s four blow-out wins in Eugene, Donovan went 6-for-11 with 11 RBIs. She had a grand slam and two RBI doubles. Donovan also was 2-for-2 with her stolen base attempts.

Lauren Quirke delivers the pitch to batterymate Allie Stines

SOU swept George Fox University today in an away doubleheader. The second game, with a final score of 1-0, featured a seven-inning perfect game thrown by Lauren Quirke. Allie Stines had three hits and scored the only run for the Raiders in that game. Obviously, the above photo is not from today’s game as there is a runner on first. No one reaches first in a perfect game.
