Glacier landings in Alaska

Yesterday we flew around the highest peak in North America. Way down below, planes were landing and taking off on ice.

Today we are flying over a national park (Wrangell–St. Elias National Park) larger than 47 of the 63 American national parks combined.

View from Alaska Railroad – Denali Star Train (September 2022)

Today’s photo was taken by my daughter on her trip to Alaska last year. This photo was captured from her seat on the train somewhere between Anchorage and Denali–a place that I couldn’t envision until recently when we began our pre-trip planning for our first visit to Alaska next month.
