Fukuoka alley near Suikyo Shrine

While wandering around Fukuoka one morning I came upon this street. I planned to visit in the evening when it was hopping, but a rain storm sent me elsewhere that night.

麻雀クラブ is a Mahjong Club. They are quite popular gambling establishments in Japan.

One of the more fascinating people to ever live, Yayoi Kusama’s pieces are easy to recognize. If I’d had over 2 million yen on me (about US$20k) and room in my suitcase, I would have picked up “赤色かぼちゃ”.
