I’m not 100% committed to the 2019 Gefle Metal Festival yet. Although it doesn’t conflict with Metal Magic, like it did last year, many of the acts will also be at Copenhell (so far Dimmu Borgir and Eluveitie) and maybe Roskilde. However, today’s announcement of Satyricon’s appearance may assist in getting me there. Satyricon, even on the smallest stage, was one of my favorite performances at 2018 Copenhell.

Our first night on the way to The Gorge last week was spent in an RV on a friend of a friend’s property near Hood River. We pulled in after dark, enjoyed some late night discussion and beverages on the deck, and then went to bed. Upon waking up in the morning, we welcomed in a new day with a new view. I don’t really like arriving at new places after dark, but the morning surprise was neat.

Another Labor Day weekend at The Gorge with the Dave Matthews Band and the most wonderful group of campers a person can ask for is in the books. I’ve been back home for less than 12 hours, and I already miss it and everyone.
