I had a wonderful four days in Sweden. My plane back to Copenhagen was delayed, and I didn’t arrive at my apartment until about 2 a.m. this morning. Today I’m back to work. No more festivals for me in Europe, but I will see Marillion in Berlin this coming weekend (Nervosa, too, on a different night).
I have almost 2,000 photos to go through. These are the first two I pulled up.

I picked it up on CD 29 years and 11 months ago at a record store in Sacramento, which is also where I saw them live for the third time, five years ago. In less than three months, I will see them again, for the fourth time, in Sweden.

My copy of Death Angel’s “a thrashumentary.” arrived yesterday. I started watching it today. Just after minute 48 there is a long look at this photo. One of these days I’ll scan the other photos from that night in 1987 and get them up here. This package is loaded with tons of material. I’m about an hour into it, and it looks like there are still hours to go. Plus it includes a second disc of a live show in San Francisco. Pick up a copy here.

Death Angel isn’t coming to Southern Oregon so I’m thinking I may drive down (3+ hours) to Chico to see them. Crazy? Probably, but I’ve gone much farther to see them before (12+ hours each way in 1987, from Copenhagen, Denmark to Gavle, Sweden in 2011, and almost 5 hours each way in 2012). To not go see them when they are “only” less than 4 hours away seems almost wrong.
