I just got back from my trip to Oakland to see Ghost, Mastodon, and Opeth. Things went even better than expected. Here is a photo of Mastodon onstage in the beautiful Fox Theater.

Tonight I get to see Bill, and the rest of Mastodon, for the first time since last summer’s Roskilde Festival when I took this photo.
Opeth, Mastodon, and Ghost on tour together
I have seen these three bands a combined nine times in the past few years so it’s only fitting that they are touring together. I’ve been in the photo pit for all three too. Now the question is, since they aren’t coming anywhere near me, do I make a road trip to bump the nine times to twelve times? Hmmmmm…. Sounds like a fun evening but a long drive.
