At the entrance gate to Joshua Tree National Park we asked the ranger what he recommended on this day. His response was that we may see bighorn sheep if we did the Barker Dam Trail. Today’s photo is of the rocks we constantly were scanning for the wildlife. We saw none, but we saw/experienced something more rare in the Mojave Desert: rain. The hike began in a drizzle and ended in a downpour. I would have preferred the bighorn sheep.
