Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars on Lagniappe Stage @ 2025 Jazz Fest

Festivals provide a unique opportunity to find new music. I do a lot of prep work for bands I’m not familiar with, but then I also accidentally catch bands I’ve never heard of before. Such was the case with Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars. And now I find that they are coming out west, playing at High Sierra Music Festival and the Oregon Country Fair. The High Sierra Music Festival is too hot for me to return to (as is Jazz Fest in New Orleans… but you have to try things out at least once, right?), and I doubt I’ll make it to the Oregon Country Fair so I’m hoping they end up playing in Southern Oregon between the two.

I’ve seen alligators in zoos before, but this was the first one in my 56+ years that I’ve encountered in the wild. It’s a very different sensation. This one may have been about 10 feet in length.
