Mastodon - Hunter
A month from today Mastodon is poised to take over the world with The Hunter. Crack the Skye cracked the top 10 on the charts only in Norway, but I think The Hunter will make it into the top 10 everywhere.

I was a bit familiar with Portishead before seeing them at the Roskilde Festival. I knew about seven or eight of their songs but had no idea what they looked like. I was pleasantly surprised by their performance.
About 30 minutes before taking the above photo (after Mastodon) I had a Spinal Tap moment, got a bit lost, and actually ended up under the Orange Stage you see pictured. The Orange Stage at Roskilde is a beautiful thing. I had no idea I would end up under, on, and behind it when the day began. It was a good day.

Portishead makes a rare live performance at Roskilde Festival
Portishead is not a band that is easy to see live as they don’t perform often. This fall, however, they are going to play in about a dozen venues in North America. These will be their first concerts in this part (I’m back in the USA as I write this) of the world in the past 13 years.

You can see a photo of Randy Rhoads on Dailor’s drum kit. Rhoads died in a plane crash on Brann’s 7th birthday.
This will wrap up the Ghost at Roskilde series. Tomorrow I will have some photos from Sweden for you.
BTW, all the Ghost photos in this entry were taken with a Nikon D7000 using a Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D AF Lens.
