These two ballplayers are headed in opposite directions. Alex Rodriguez is literally out, as in sitting out the 2014 season due to a suspension for violating the MLB drug policy. Freddie Freeman, on the other hand, just signed a new contract and figures to be the heart of the Braves organization for years to come.

Sadaharu Oh may have been the first professional baseball player to implement a leg kick into his swing. It is a rare sight in MLB these days. Maybe Hunter Pence does one? Any others? In any event, the leg kick is fairly common to see in Korean and Japanese professional leagues.

Oregon Ducks
It’s not what they were hoping for when the season began. It was far from their minds when they went into week nine with an 8-0 record, with landslide victories over two ranked teams under their belts. However, the Oregon Ducks are going to the Alamo Bowl, to play an unranked team (Texas), in a bowl game before the year even ends, instead of to the BCS Championship Game they seemed destined for just over a month ago.
