If you build a time machine, go back to 1985, wander into my remedial English class in high school, and whisper into my 16-year old ear that in 34 years I will be in Czechoslovakia (because the Czech Republic doesn’t exist in 1985 so I won’t know what you are talking about if you refer to it), watching the band that the guy sitting next to me plays drums for (Legacy, soon to change their name to Testament), at an 18th-century fortress under a half moon with over 15,000 others (including many Germans–who this fortress was originally built to keep out), you will blow my mind, but I probably won’t believe you. Plus, I don’t remember the part about a stranger whispering in my ear back then so you probably won’t build that time machine and do this.
At the time, I had never been outside of the USA. In fact, I’d only been to three states at that point in my existence.
