Remember what early June looks like?
This field on East Main Street in Ashland isn’t much to took at this time of year. However, in May and early June the grass grows long so someone cuts a path through it for the kids walking to school at Willow Wind.

I went to my first show at the new Club 66 last night. My take is that Club 66 is the best venue for live music in Southern Oregon, period. The sound, lighting, and stage are all superior to other live houses in Ashland, Medford, and Grants Pass. If you ever went to Stillwater and found it to be too dark and/or too difficult to get near or see the stage, you’ll want to see the improvements that have been made to the Club 66 version of the place.
As you can tell, the members of Sideshow Project rotated instruments and vocal duties like they were playing musical chairs.
With no alcohol (yet) at Club 66, the place is very kid friendly

Tonight and tomorrow night the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be playing at home. The Lady Raiders play at 5:30 each night and the men start at 7:30. The opponents are Warner Pacific tonight and Concordia on Saturday night.
In today’s photo, Alexi Smith (averaging about 16 points a game, good for second on the team and fifth in the conference) is sporting a simplified Chinese character for love tattooed on her left arm. 愛 is one of the few characters that can have fewer strokes in Chinese than in Japanese.
