Another photo today from last month’s roller derby…

I don’t really understand the rules and scoring of roller derby, but I’m guessing that the referee is awarding four points to the jammer.

Hell Bunny of Sierra Regional Roller Derby

I had my first, ever roller derby experience a couple of weeks ago at the Medford Armory. The monikers were fun. In addition to participant names like Kablamo, Jane Die, Cherry Nobyl, Kates of Hell, and Sandra Bullet, the refs had names like Colin M. Fairly and Crying Wolff.

BFO (June 25, 2026, 9:04 p.m.)

A bit over a week ago, we had one of those super dreamy nights that followed days of intense heat. The weather was changing, and the clouds provided a lovely blanket. When we arrived at Britt for Holst’s “The Planets” at 6:30 it was about 80 degrees. When we left at 10 p.m. it was 73 degrees. Perfection.
