Aldrick Rosas was the Tennessee Titans kicker in the 4th quarter of their first 2016 preseason game yesterday. He was 1-1 in field goals, 1-1 in extra points, and his kickoffs were impressive as always.

Anyone who watched Jace Billingsley against the Raiders the past few seasons will not be surprised to see him make a play like this for the Detroit Lions. He nearly single-handedly beat the Raiders in 2013 and 2014.
In 2013 he led both teams with 161 yards receiving. He also threw for a TD on a trick play to win the game for EOU. In 2014, things got even more out of hand as he amassed 260 yards, mostly on the ground in another EOU upset over SOU. He was basically the only guy the Raiders couldn’t stop in 2014. After that game, the Raiders went on to win four straight and the national championship.
Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament 2016

As mentioned yesterday, this year’s tournament is in full swing. Former Southern Oregon standouts Renee Yomtob and Sarah Holgen are 4-0 as of this writing. I believe it’s a double-elimination tournament so they won’t be going home anytime soon.
The team of Friar / Goudarzian is also hanging in there, currently with a 5-1 record.

I wasn’t thinking when I grabbed my D500 (crop sensor) instead of my D750 (full frame) to go on a hike this past Sunday. The D750 with a 24-120mm f/4G lens is perfect for hiking. The D500 turns that lens into a 36-180mm lens. I don’t really need 180mm on a hike, but I do need 24mm. When that happens the solution is to photomerge. I did so with the photo above. However, I didn’t like how much of the water at my feet wouldn’t fit. So, for the first time, I tried a different technique.
Normally I photomerge by shooting vertical images from left to right and then merge them together as a horizontal panorama. For the image below I shot vertical images from left to right, but instead of shooting one and moving right I shot one and moved down to take a second before moving right. Something like this:

I didn’t know if Photoshop would be able to merge them together, but there were no issues.

Club 66 closed its doors while I was gone this summer. No word yet on what will take its place.
Today’s photo is from May of 2014 @ Club 66. It’s of one of the many bands I’ve taken photos of but never processed. Now I don’t even know who this is. Can anyone help?
They opened for Early Man and had a female singer with two-toned hair. Maybe they were from the UK?
