MACさん @ Hiroshima’s Koba
I only met MAC once. It was the evening I took this photo of him. He told me about about his bar down the street. We talked about traveling around the world and meeting new people. I promised him I’d visit him in his bar the next time I came through Hiroshima. That won’t happen now as MAC has died. His memory (and the stickers and flyers with his name on them around the Koba bar) remains.

I don’t remember if this is the Kamo or Takano River. What I do remember is that cloud scared me a bit as I was on a bike and far from home. Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain started soon after this photo. I took refuge in the nearby Demachi Masugata Shotengai. This photo happened three years and two days ago.
After 45 days in Denmark, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and London, today I’m heading back to the USA. That means loads of waiting in airports and the ability to finally get around to processing photos like this one from three years ago in Kyoto.
