Today’s photo comes from Thanksgiving Day in 2015 when we spent the night at a friend’s cottage in Yachats.
We just got back from two nights at our friends’ ranch. We were planning on staying three nights, but winter storm warnings for tomorrow caused us to leave a day early.
I got up before the sun this morning to take some photos. The temperature outside was a balmy 15 degrees Fahrenheit. The ponds on the property were all frozen over. The kids went ice skating later in the day.
The white dot under the moon in this photo is Jupiter. The sun made its appearance about 15 minutes later.

Ellie erging in The Barn on the Oregon State University campus
I didn’t take today’s photo. I don’t know who did. I like the looks of it though.
The Barn was built in 1907, and, as the photo shows, is still regularly used today.
