Least Chipmunk (or maybe Yellow-pine Chipmunk?) in Sunshine Meadows
We didn’t see any of the big creatures in Canada this year like we saw in Alaska last year. No bears, moose, coyotes, foxes, wolverines, elk, or bighorn sheep. We did see a variety of rodents though.

Lower South Falls (Silver Falls State Park, Oregon – August 2024)
This past Monday I found myself in Silver Falls State Park for the fourth time in my life. This was very different from the prior three trips as those were all in spring.
Pro tip: go in spring, not summer. The waterfalls have a lot more water to them in spring, the greens are greener, and the crowds are much smaller.
