West Kennecott Glacier Trail

We started watching “Edge of Alaska” a few nights ago. Wow! Highly recommended if you are going to McCarthy or have visited there before. We actually got to see one of Neil Darish’s outbursts while we there but didn’t know that he was sort of famous at the time.

Kirovsky Zavod Metro (Saint Petersburg, Russia – August 2019)

I saw several busts of Lenin when I was in Russia four years ago. This one was at the end of a station platform that fed workers into an armament manufacturing plant. Hence, weapons are shown in the reliefs.

Ma Johnson’s Hotel (McCarthy, Alaska)

Built 100 years before this photo was taken, Ma Johnson’s Hotel is where we stayed last month for a night. Interesting, to say the least.

I’m currently reading Cold Mountain Path, a book I highly recommend BEFORE (or during) a trip to McCarthy or Cordova.
