Gay once had a different connotation than it does now. This print is from 1947, and I saw it hanging on the wall of The Danish Poster Museum which is part of Aarhus’ Old Town Museum (Den Gamle By).

If you like to people watch, head to one of Tokyo’s many parks on a weekend or holiday. For something more solitary, check ’em out on a weekday. Chances are pretty good that you won’t see anyone other than a few retired folk and/or some pre-schoolers. It may end up just being you, a parked bike, and a sign at Shakujii Park (石神井公園).

In the Mori Art Museum in late 2009 there was an exhibit called “Ai Weiwei: According to What?” Some of the works in the exhibit had an interconnected theme. This bike sculpture reminded me a bit of something by M.C. Escher.
