Today’s photo comes from Copenhagen’s main canal almost three years ago. The bridge on the left (Inderhavnsbro) had its grand opening less than a month before. I went over that bridge dozens of times last summer, as my apartment was nearby. Unfortunately, this year, my abode will be as far away from this part of town as it has ever been so my Nyhavn visits will drop dramatically.

The oldest (14th Century) surviving truss bridge in the world, consisting of strutted and triangulated trusses of moderate span, supported on piled trestles, Kapellbrücke is a covered wooden footbridge diagonally spanning the River Reuss in Luzern, Switzerland.
