Followed by Sacred Reich, Metal Church (for the first time since July 2, 1987* at the Omni in Oakland, California!), Kampfar, Windhand, and more.

* If you would have told me 32 years and a month ago that I would see Metal Church next in over 32 years, in the Czech Republic no less, my mind would have exploded. Back in 1987 the Czech Republic didn’t even exist. Back then it was Czechoslovakia and part of the Soviet Union. Boy do I feel old…

Voivod @ Oakland Metro (2015)

#mybrutalassault #mybrutal2019 #brutalAssault2019 #brutalassault @voivoddotnet #voivod @hypocrisyband

Also today….

Hexis
Kraanium
Ensiferum
Soilwork
Incantation
Faketushka
Therion
Prong
Coven
Cult of Luna
Kadavar
Hypocrisy
The Ocean

Of the bands I’ve seen before, I’m most looking forward to Voivod. Of those I haven’t seen before, Hypocrisy.

Lots of rain in the forecast at Brutal Assault today, but as the guy sitting on the train next to me on the way to Roskilde Festival said, “We are not made of sugar!”

Time schedule for 2019 Brutal Assault Festival

#brutalAssault2019 #brutalassault

Tickets will sell out in the next 48 hours so get yours quick if you haven’t already.

With two or three stages going at once, there are some bands, that I’d really like to see, that I will have to miss all or part of their set. Those include: Meshuggah, Coven, Heilung, and Taake.

I’m torn on whether to see Zuriaake or Entropia. Also, Anthrax, Kampfar, and Windhand are at the same time so it looks like I’ll be missing Anthrax yet again. Cult of Luna or Kadavar? Rotting Christ, Tankard, or Antaeus???

@COPENHELL #copenhell #copenhell2019 @MetalMagicDK #brutalAssault2019 #brutalassault #slaegt #Slægt

Sometimes when you see a band that you know you will be seeing again soon, even if you enjoy their performance, you think, “I don’t really need to see them again so soon.” Such was not the case after seeing Slægt at 2019 Copenhell. Instead, I’m very excited to see them again–at Metal Magic in about 10 days and at Brutal Assault in August.
