I took today’s photo from the Crown Point Vista House in Oregon. Across the river is Washington. I believe the island in the middle of the river is Reed Island State Park. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
One of the great things about Copenhagen is you can ride a bike anywhere. There are no hills, and the streets have great bike lanes. The downside is when you get caught in a rain storm. I took today’s photo at the Carlsberg Brewery (in Frederiksberg) while waiting for the rain to let up. It didn’t, and I eventually had to head out through the storm. I got drenched, but it was still a good day.

One day, while sightseeing in Århus, Denmark, I rode the bus down to Højbjerg to check out the stave church. I knew what a stave church was supposed to look like from playing the “Age of Mythology” computer game so I was a bit disappointed to find this one which looked nothing like my expectations.
None of the original Viking churches have survived in Denmark. This one is a reconstruction done in the 1990s. The bell tower next to the church was completed in 2004.
