Látrabjarg, Iceland is not easy to get to. The drive is beautiful, but the road is pretty bad, at times, and by the time I arrived I wasn’t feeling so hot. Winds were crazy strong, maybe varying between 20 and 50 MPH. Everyone wanted to see the puffins, and other birds, but it was very dangerous as the wind was blowing in the direction of blasting people off the cliff. To get anywhere near the edge you had to crawl on your hands and knees. Even then you couldn’t see any puffins, but you could see thousands of other birds.
Most people gave up on the puffins and headed back to their cars. I sat down on a spot no one was around and just soaked it all in for a while. Then this little guy or gal showed up. Not far from me, this puffin put on a show like a paid model. I have probably a hundred photos, each with a different pose.

A little something from last week when I was in Iceland…
I had this church (Búðakirkja) to myself as well as the waterfall (Bjarnarfoss) in the distance after. Amazing place.
The day was unusually warm (for Iceland–probably over 70 degrees F) with no wind. Beginning just after midnight (still light out), the wind began to howl, and never let up much during the next two days as I drove around and slept on the edge of the Westfjords.

Today’s photo comes from my first visit to Prague, back in 2016. I visited again in 2017 but took last year off. In two months I will make my third trip. I just booked three nights for $100. What a steal!
Any recommendations for day trips or things a bit outside of the city center or not in guidebooks for a third time visitor?
