We all had to sit, and show proof of being vaccinated to gain entry, but other than that, it was just like old times.

Elephant Gate and Tower (Carlsberg, Copenhagen, Denmark)

The Carlsberg district of Copenhagen has seen some major changes over the 13 years I’ve been visiting Denmark. Some of the construction is completed, but other blocks appear to have years to go. When I lived in Valby in 2017 I saw and heard the construction every day. Yesterday I just got to bike through it.

Ofelia Beach uefa 2020 soccer Skuespilhuset night

Watching UEFA EURO 2020 @ Ofelia Plads

Riding my bike home from a quiz night at a Copenhagen pub, I couldn’t help but hear the roar of the crowd coming from the Ofelia Beach area of Copenhagen. Even though it is 2021, the UEFA EURO 2020 is taking place now. Apparently, all of the matches can be viewed outdoors with a huge crowd at this location. Sweden and Spain played to a 0-0 tie. I’m sure it was far more exciting than the final score suggests. 😉

To the left of the match, you can see the Playhouse (Skuespilhuset).

Google maps sent me on a wild ride through Christiania (at 11 p.m.) to get back to my place.
