Neurosis @ 2017 Roskilde Festival

@scottneurosis @OfficialNeurot @neurosisoakland #rf17 @orangefeeling @RedFang @RelapseRecords

The 2017 lineup for the Roskilde Festival is slowly taking shape. So far it is rather light on bands I want to see. But the fact that Neurosis will be there is all I need to show up. Red Fang and High on Fire are two others I’m looking forward to. Hopefully they are all playing on Saturday.

One of the lovely things about going to live shows in Denmark (especially the Roskilde Festival) is you can stand up front without being crushed. In addition, you can obtain water to stay hydrated without losing your spot.

Today’s photo happened while were on stage.

Today’s photo was taken at 2:30 a.m. The sun was coming up before I left the venue. Hopefully they don’t give Neurosis or Red Fang a post-midnight start in 2017.

Neurosis (and Red Fang) @ Roskilde

Just before Neurosis hit the stage at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon

I woke up happy this morning. Actually, I probably wasn’t happy when I woke up, but I became happy soon thereafter when I saw that Neurosis has been added to the bill for the 2017 Roskilde Festival. Also added was Red Fang. I’m a big Red Fang fan; yet I’ve never seen them live. Even though they are from Oregon, Red Fang never plays in Southern Oregon so my first time seeing them will be in Denmark next year. Can’t wait.

Tonight’s the night…

Neil Young

Neil Young @ Roskilde Festival 2016

I’m currently at Desert Trip in Southern California. Last night was Bob Dylan and then The Rolling Stones. Tonight is Neil Young and then Paul McCartney. Tomorrow night is The Who and then Roger Waters. I’m here mainly for Neil Young and Roger Waters, but The Rolling Stones were incredible last night.

Kvelertak’s Eriend Hjelvik @ Roskilde Festival 2016

@Kvelertak

I intended to see Kvelertak back in 2014 with Mastodon and Gojira. A photo pass never materialized for that show, though, so I didn’t go. Strangely, I still got to see Kvelertak and Gojira together. It just took an extra two-plus years and a trip to Denmark to have the experience.

Kvelertak’s show was live streamed on Red Bull TV. Sadly, I can’t find it on the internet. Anyone have a copy or URL they can point me to?
