The Paul Turnipseed Trio played the first performance of the Britt Music & Arts Festival season a few weeks ago with Jeff Addicott and Mike Fitch in the Britt Performance Garden on the recently renamed Sam and Hannelore Enfield Stage.

Isiah Carter is mobbed in the end zone after picking up a fumble and returning it 43 yards for a touchdown in the 2017 NAIA football semifinals

Although I’ve followed the NFL, at times very closely, over the past forty something years, I’ve yet to ever go to a game. Between high school and college I’ve been to well over a hundred football games. But today marks the first professional football game I will ever attend. How is that possible in June, when I’m not even in a place (Denmark) known for American football?
Today I’m going to see Isiah Carter, coach for the SOU Raiders and player before that, play for the Frederikssund Oaks of the Danish American Football Federation. Should be interesting…

Today’s photo comes from a couple months ago, before the leaves filled the trees.

Cole Carder
@MedfordRogues @ColeCarder4
The Rogues are on fire this year, near the top of the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League standings with a 19-4 record in the league. Alas, their season will be over before I return to the Rogue Valley in August.
Carder was last year’s “Player of the Year”.

Today’s photo comes from a different season. Spring and autumn are my favorite times of year in Ashland. Spring frequently gets mixed up with winter, especially in March and April, leading to photos like this one with lush greens and snow.

Not too far from Ashland, and not far from Crater Lake, you can find this spot which you will likely have to yourself.
