Elkhorn Lodge interior (Banff – August 2024)
We stayed in Banff for four nights earlier this month. The above photo is of the canvas picture hanging above our bed. I was wondering if we’d ever see the place in the photo. After checking out of the Elkhorn Lodge on the morning of our fifth day, we headed up the Icefields Parkway where we did get that view (below).

I don’t know what happened to the cowboy getting his leg crushed in this photo. He didn’t get up on his own though.

We didn’t see any of the big creatures in Canada this year like we saw in Alaska last year. No bears, moose, coyotes, foxes, wolverines, elk, or bighorn sheep. We did see a variety of rodents though.
