Most teams have their first spring training games today (including the Mets).
I took today’s photo back in 2012 at Citi Field in New York. I have no idea if the giant Topps cards continue to adorn the concourse, but I thought it was about the coolest thing I had ever seen.
Here is a photo of the Mets starting lineup on that day in baseball cards.

I spent a day and a night in Uppsala, Sweden this past summer for the first time. I’m in the middle of finishing the fifth book in the Millennium series, and it’s nice to have that experience in mind when Mikael Blomkvist is dashing off to Uppsala for something. BTW, the name on the door of the place next to mine in Uppsala that one night said “M. Blomkvist & Erika”. I did a double take.

The first time I saw Sodom (at Copenhell at about 2 in the morning) I couldn’t really “see” Sodom. They were in mist and strobe lights much of the time. The second time, this past August in Czech, couldn’t have been more different. In the sunshine they gave off a totally different vibe even if the songs were mostly the same.
