My random, desktop image of the day makes me wish I could go to Norway again this summer, and it also makes me wish that I shot in RAW back in 2011 as this image could have been so much better.

A’s have best record in MLB

@Athletics Once again, it’s nice to see the have nots beat the haves. The Oakland Athletics are currently ranked #26 in payroll but #1 in winning percentage. Similar things could be said for them for most years of their existence. Today’s photo includes Mike Gallego, the current 3rd base coach, who played for some of the low-budget, lots-of-wins A’s teams of my youth.

This seems like too much fun to pass up. If they were playing with two bands I hated I could probably skip this, but I really want to see Gojira, and even though I’m not familiar with Kverlertak, they can’t be bad coming from Norway, right? So next week I may be making the trek to Portland (4/29/14) to hang out with the Mastodon boys and experience their amazingness yet again.
